  1. Greets the VIP guests of the hotel. Perform special service for VIP Guest’s and assists in VIP’s arrival and departure in absence of GRO.
2. Check cleanliness of lobby and public area, lights, front office staff in proper and orderly appearance and behavior.
3. Ensures all information should be filled on each cards either by GRO and as well as assists in sending guest messages or faxes.
4. Give the instruction to front office staff as well as night reception. Assists in handling room lock problems and release room blocked of No-Show guest.
5. Conducts VIP’s arrival and groups check in or departure. And perform the standard way of escorting guests to the rooms.
6. Co-ordinates with all departments concerned in order to maintain Front Office functions properly. Promotes and maintains good public relations.
7. Handles guest complaints and other related problem and reports onto Assistant Manager’s log book. Operates the front office system in order to assist front office attendants.
8. Assists reception, business centre, cashier, concierge and bell captain during they are busy. Answers guests inquires, and attends to the needs of the guests.
9. Approves and sign for allowances, rebates etc, as required by front office staff. Authorizes charges to be made for late departure or compliment on them.
10. Motivates and maintains good staff relations. Guides the hotel policy on credit/lost and found hotel guest properties.
11. Follows up in credit check report, liaise with credit manager. Discusses all matters that needed to follow up with the next shift reception.
12. Be responsible for front office operation during the absence of Front Office Manager
13. Approves the working schedule for the front office attendants and submits them to front office manager.
14. Assigns and approve duty roster for all front desk staff.
15. Conducts and ensures the neat of appearance of front office staff attitude and behavior, discusses problems the encountered on this point with front office manager, assistant front office manger and their shift leaders.
  - Must be able to communicate in English writing and speaking and other languages are advantages.
- Good personality and charming are important to the Assistant Manager in the way to represent himself/herself on behalf of hotel management.
- Graduate bachelor degree and/or diploma in tourism and hospitality management or other related fields.
- Minimum of two years of experience in similar positions. - Should be similar with basic computer skill and previous experience in using Hotel management software’s, Telephone Switch board.
- Willing to work under pressure.
